About Mega OS

Requirements

• 1 USB (4 Gigabytes at the very least)
• A computer with at-least 23 Gigabytes of storage.
• Mega OS ISO
• Etcher

Create the Bootable Media

In all Operating Systems,

Download Etcher, install and run the application.

(The first thing you will see when Balena Etcher runs)

Click "Flash from file" and select your Mega OS ISO

Click select drive and select your USB.

Once all of that is there, Click "FLASH!"

Boot Mega OS

1. Insert your Mega OS USB Stick into your computer.

2. Restart the computer.

3. Continually press the following keys to enter the BIOS menu (may vary based on computer) F1, F2, F8, F10, F11, F12 or Delete.

4. Either set the USB to boot first (this will come into effect when you next restart) or boot from the USB directly.

 (The first thing you should see when booting into the installer.) 

5. Click enter to boot into the installer, a flashing cursor should appear for a bit, and then it should boot into the installer.

Mega OS Installation

1. When you boot into the Mega OS Setup it should look like this: 

2. Click on what language you would like to use on Mega OS, then click Continue.

3. After you click continue, click what Keyboard layout you would like, then press continue.

4. Click what Wifi Network you would like to set, then proceed to the Updates and Other Software screen which should look like this:

 You can leave everything on the Updates and Other Software screen as is.

5(a). After you press Continue, a screen like this should pop up, it should be called "Installation Type":

5(b). If the installer tells you if you want to write the changes to the Disk(s), click continue:

6. Enter in a username for your user and a proper password for your user. Write down the password somewhere safe or remember it carefully.

7. Click where you are at in the world (this will set your timezone):

10. Congratulations! You are now officially installing Mega OS onto your computer. Now all you have to do for now is wait for the entire installation process to be done (This might take a couple of minutes).

11. Once it is done, you should get a screen like this:

12. Click Restart Now, and on the boot screen, follow the directions on-screen.

13. You should reboot into Mega OS, and you should enter in the password you entered in Step 9 of this section.

Congratulations, you have upgraded to Mega OS!
